Early Childhood Services Service Area

The Early Childhood Service Area of Bethel Head Start, Inc. specializes in meeting individual children's needs through developmentally appropriate practices utilizing the Creative Curriculum. We provide safe nurturing environments where children can experience hands-on meaningful age appropriate activities.

Our classrooms are designed based on the theories and research of how children learn and develop. Children can explore through a variety of classroom centers including a library area, dramatic play, computers, blocks, creative art, writing, manipulatives, science, and sensory tables. Every teacher focuses on the strength of each child and meets each child at their own development level.

We respect and embrace each of our families various cultures and traditions. Families are encouraged to share and participate through field trips, classroom activities, volunteering and substituting. Parents are encouraged to provide lesson plan input, and suggestions on how to help their child succeed.

Parents have accessed to their individual child's daily progress through an on-line curriculum services. Teachers and parents can communicate through e-mails and experience can be shared through pictures and anecdotal notes of what their child has done!
