Family and Community Partnership Service Area

The Bethel Head Start Program provides a collaborative partnership agreement with parents and families. Our goal is to establish a mutual trust to identify family goals strengths, and to provide support with other needed services. Family Partners complete referrals for families in need. Examples of these referrals are:

• food
• clothing
• housing
• medical attention
• financial
• educational needs

Parents are welcomed to:

• Volunteer in their child's center,
• Be apart of the planning for the classroom
• Participate in the center's Parent Meeting (once a month)
• Become a paid substitute
• Field Trips
• Work on projects at home

The Bethel Head Start Program has a Policy Committee that consists of 51% of parents and 49% Community Representative. This Committee meets once a month and is involved in the decision making process of the program.
